Rules


  1. All members must have their photo i.d. membership card with them at all times whilst fishing and show it upon request by any other member or RSPB rangers. 

  1. All litter and line must be removed from the area prior to and after fishing and taken home for disposal.

  1. P.A.C code of conduct regarding equipment to be followed at all times.

  1. Barbless or semi-barbless hooks to be used at all times.

  1. All members can challenge anyone else fishing to produce their permit so as to help prevents unauthorised use of the site. Members should ask any unauthorised persons to leave the site immediately without placing themselves at risk. Members are also requested to make a note of any challenges and pass this information on to their Regional Organisers or bailiffs.

  1. You are required to notify an RSPB rangers or RO official if you notice any bird or animal in distress howsoever caused. Also any unusual or unnatural occurrence e.g. set lines, nets, snares, traps etc and any act of vandalism to the site.

  1. A maximum of 4 rods may be used having due regard for other members, providing the necessary EA rod licences x 2 are held. These should also be shown upon request.

  1. No live-baits to be used.

  1. No trees or branches to be cut without the permission of the PAC Regional Organiser’s  or the RSPB officers.

  1. No bait boats or watercraft allowed.

  1. Night fishing is allowed.

  1. Unhooking mat and suitable landing net are compulsory.

  1. No swimming or wading will be allowed.

  1. No live fish, aquatic plants or other forms of pond life are to be introduced to, or removed from the clubs water without permission of the committee.

  1. Members must keep within the clubs boundaries at all times. All cars are to be parked in the car parks only so not to cause a nuisance.

  1. The water may be closed at any time when deemed necessary by the committee.

  1. No persons other than club members are permitted to fish club waters.

  1. As the water is afforded SSSI status then it will be closed to fishing during closed season (March 15th to June 16th)

  1. A maximum of 20 anglers may fish the clubs water at any one time as per licence agreement.

  1. Members must comply with the bylaws of the Environment Agency and any other authorised bylaws and regulations relating to the water.

  1. All members must keep a record of all fish caught, noting species and quantity and then pass this information on to their Regional Organisers. (This information is a lease condition and is to purely monitor fish stocks, it will not be broadcast around)  Also other animal and bird life that you think would be of interest to RSPB or ourselves.

  1. The committee may revise these rules at any time.
